Cookies

We use so-called session cookies to optimize our website. A session cookie is a small text file that is sent by the respective servers when visiting a website and stored on your hard disk. We also use a small amount of persistent cookies (also small text files stored on your device) that remain on your device and allow us to recognize your browser the next time you visit it. These cookies are stored on your hard drive and delete themselves after the given time. Their lifespan is 1 month to 10 years. This will enable us to present our offer in a more user-friendly, effective and secure way, and to show you, for example, information tailored to your interests on the page.

Our legitimate interest in the use of cookies in accordance with Article 6 para. 1 sentence 1 f) GDPR is to make our website more user-friendly, effective and secure.

Newsletter

To subscribe to the newsletter you will need the data requested in the registration process. The registration for the newsletter will be logged. After logging in, you will receive a message on the specified email address asking you to confirm your registration ("Double Opt-in "). This is necessary so that third parties cannot register with their email address.

You can always revoke your consent to receive the newsletter and thus unsubscribe from the newsletter.

We save the registration details as long as they are needed for sending the newsletter. The logging of the application and the shipping address are stored as long as there was an interest in the proof of the originally given consent, as a rule, these are the limitation periods for civil claims, thus a maximum of three years.

Legal basis for sending the newsletter is your consent acc. Art. 6 (1) sentence 1 a) in conjunction with Art. 7 GDPR in conjunction with § 7 (2) no. 3 UWG. Legal basis for logging the application is our legitimate interest in proving that the shipment was made with your consent.

You can cancel the registration at any time, without incurring any costs other than the transmission costs according to the basic rates. A communication in text form to the contact details mentioned under point 1 (e.g. e-mail, fax, letter) is sufficient. Of course, you will also find in every newsletter an unsubscribe link.

Contact

When you contact us (e.g. via contact form or e-mail), we process your details for the processing of the request as well as for the case that follow-up questions arise.

If data processing is carried out for the purpose of carrying out pre-contractual measures which are made upon request or for the execution of an existing contract, the legal basis for this data processing is Article 6 (1) sentence 1 b) GDPR.

We process further personal data only if you consent to it (Article 6 (1) sentence 1 a) GDPR) or we have a legitimate interest in the processing of your data (Article 6 (1) sentence 1 f) GDPR), A legitimate interest lies e.g. in responding to your email.

No data transfers to third parties

A transmission of your data to third parties does not take place, unless we are legally obliged to do so. Insofar as external service providers come into contact with your personal data, we have ensured that they comply with the provisions of data protection laws through legal, technical and organizational measures as well as regular checks.

A data transfer to entities or persons outside the EU does not take place and is not planned, except for the exception when you visit our pages on Facebook, Instagram or Twitter. For this, please refer to the following sections.

Facebook and other related services such as Instagram

The following applies to the operation of our Facebook fan pages as well as to the operation like Facebook connected services such as Instagram. These are meant to be included, even if only Facebook is mentioned in the following section for reasons of readability.

Jointly responsible for the fan pages are Facebook Ireland Ltd. (4 Grand Canal Square, Grand Canal Harbour, Dublin 2 Ireland; hereinafter Facebook Ireland) and we, the Research Center Borstel.

The legal basis for the data processing is the legitimate interest according to Article 6 (1) (f) DSGVO.

We would like to point out that you use this fan page page and its functions on your own responsibility. This applies in particular to the use of the interactive functions (e.g. commenting, sharing and rating). Alternatively, you can also access the information offered via this page on our website at www.fz-borstel.de.

When you visit our Facebook page, Facebook Ireland collects, among other things, your IP address and other information that is present in the form of cookies on your PC. This information is used to provide us, as operators of the Facebook pages, with statistical information about the use of the Facebook page.

Facebook provides more detailed information on this at the following link: http://de-de.facebook.com/help/pages/insights.

The data collected about you in this context is processed by Facebook Ireland and may be transferred to countries outside the European Union. Facebook describes in general terms what information it receives and how it is used in its data usage guidelines. There you will also find information on how to contact Facebook and on the settings options for advertisements. The data usage guidelines are available at the following link: http://de-de.facebook.com/about/privacy. The complete Facebook data policies can be found here: https://de-de.facebook.com/full_data_use_policy.

In what way Facebook uses data from visits to Facebook pages for its own purposes, to what extent activities on the Facebook page are assigned to individual users, how long Facebook stores this data and whether data from a visit to the Facebook page is passed on to third parties, is not conclusively and clearly stated by Facebook and is not known to us.

When you access a Facebook page, the IP address assigned to your terminal device is transmitted to Facebook. According to Facebook, this IP address is anonymized (esp. for German-IP addresses). Facebook also stores information about the end devices of its users (e.g. as part of the "login notification" function); if necessary, this enables Facebook to assign IP addresses to individual users.

If you are currently logged in to Facebook as a user, a cookie with your Facebook ID is located on your end device. This enables Facebook to track that you have visited this page and how you have used it. This also applies to all other Facebook pages. Via Facebook buttons embedded in websites, it is possible for Facebook to record your visits to these website pages and assign them to your Facebook profile. Based on this data, content or advertising can be offered tailored to you.

If you want to avoid this, you should log out of Facebook or deactivate the "stay logged in" function, delete the cookies present on your device and exit and restart your browser. In this way, Facebook information through which you can be directly identified will be deleted. This will allow you to use our Facebook page without revealing your Facebook identifier. When you access interactive features of the page (Like, Comment, Share, Message, etc.), a Facebook login screen will appear. After any login, you will again be recognizable to Facebook as a specific user. Information on how to manage or delete information about you can be found on the following Facebook support pages: https://de-de.facebook.com/about/privacy#.

Data processing is carried out on the basis of an agreement between the joint controllers pursuant to Article 26 of the GDPR; Facebook Ireland is the primary controller within the meaning of the GDPR (Article 26) with respect to Insights data: https://www.facebook.com/legal/terms/page_controller_addendum.

In all other respects, please refer to the Controller Addendum to the Facebook Business Tools Terms: https://www.facebook.com/legal/controller_addendum).

You can claim your data subject rights both against us (see in the section below) and against Facebook Ireland.
